Dear PLATO members and Conference community,

The past few weeks have been confusing and challenging for all of us. Everyday the impact of COVID-19 is felt in new and different ways. More than ever we are being reminded to slow down, do our part, and take care of each other, as the world weathers this crisis.

In the interests of everyone’s health and safety, we made the difficult decision to postpone the PLATO 2020 conference until June 2021. Details about location and exact dates will be made available soon. We know many of you have already registered and booked travel and accommodations. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience that this decision will cause you.

If you have already registered for the conference, we can treat your registration in one of two ways. We can either honor it for next year, or issue a refund. We will be in touch soon with those already registered to provide more information.

If your proposal to present a workshop, presentation, or poster was accepted, we would love to have you present your work at next year’s conference. As more details become clear to us over the coming months, we will be in touch about how to confirm your participation.

Thank you for your patience and willingness to work with us during these uncertain times. We are disappointed about not being able to meet this year but are optimistic that PLATO 2021 will be a wonderful opportunity for our community to reconnect in person. In the meantime, please take care of yourselves and one another.

Sincerely,

Debi Talukdar
Executive Director, PLATO
